Short final for the Fournier 2024 gathering

du Vendredi 6 au dimanche 8 septembre 2024
at the airfield of Lille – Marcq en Baroeul (LFQO)
To date, 84 people arriving with 48 motoplaneurs, planes and microlight
aircraŌ have registered. 45 from France, 22 from Germany, 6 from Belgium
and 11 from Great Britain. Bravo. But we can do beƩer: there are sƟll some
places available at the restaurant on Saturday night, welcome.
To motivate those who are still hesitating, we recall the program proposed by
Michel Leblanc, Daniel Thielemans and Joost Legasse:
BeauƟful aerial cruise in Belgium along the coast of the North Sea and
stopover in Brashaat (EBBT) or visit of the city of Lille and endless discussions
on the aerodrome and restaurant…
No worries for the flight in Belgium: radio with air traffic controllers will be
assumed by the leader of each squadron. So no problem of understanding or
interpretaƟon of language. Just follow the group. Easy and stressless.
In this last leƩer, a small historical note below. It will allow everyone to
discover the history of this plaƞorm. Unfortunately only in French, the photos
and explanaƟons will show you the richness of this plaƞorm that has known
multiple lives.
On the excellent website of the associaƟon «Anciens aérodromes» (Old
aerodromes ) you can discover the history of aero-clubs in Bondues:

here the Morane 500 (formerly
Fieseler Storch) sailplane tug in the
1950s.

And the reconstruction of the hangar of the sailing club

and finally, a book written by Captain Myrone Nicolas Guich was published in
2006 but still hard to find
